The Mumbai Indians x ESA Day case study was centred around celebrating creativity, inclusion, and the joy of collective expression. The highlight of the project saw young participants transform the Mumbai Indians team bus into a moving canvas, filling it with artwork, handwritten messages, and personal expressions of support. Alongside the activity, the children also shared heartfelt video messages, adding an authentic and emotional layer to the film.
While the atmosphere on set was full of energy and excitement, the production required careful coordination behind the scenes. Transporting and positioning the team bus at the South Mumbai location involved detailed logistical planning, and working with a large group of enthusiastic children meant balancing structure with spontaneity. Creatively, we chose a predominantly handheld approach, using tight, immersive POV-style shots to place the audience within the experience rather than observing it from a distance. The movement of the camera echoed the excitement on set, making every interaction feel immediate and personal. It was a project that reminded us that sometimes the strongest way to tell a story is to let the viewer feel like they're a participant in it, not just a spectator.
